When I think about condensed milk, snow-cone, my grandfather's evening tea and cornflakes comes to mind. The thick, cream coloured liquid that takes a long time to come out of the cold tin. The tin which I would open and leave to empty into a plastic container and return to after 5 hours. It is a pantry staple. I usually use it for cornflakes and milk, however, as it can go bad, I had to find another way to incorporate the condesnsed milk. That's where the chocolate comes in.
Condesnsed milk or sweetened condensed milk is cow's milk from which about 60% of water is removed and sugar added. It is an ingredient in numerous desserts and sweet treats,
from coffee to fudge. I use it to make my hot-chocolate sweet, creamy and comforting.
